4WD Social Trip

Recently the club held a four wheel drive trip for its members and friends.  The trip started at member Bill Paterson’s Macdonald Downs property and travelled through the farm to the Lees Valley, crossing the Okuku River on the way, then on to pay a visit to the historic Birch Hill Station homestead, school and cemetery.  Speakers throughout the journey gave information on the history and environment of the area which proved to be most interesting and informative.  This was an enjoyable day for everyone and many thanks go to Bill Paterson and Robbie Black for enabling the activity to take place.
